The Cardinal Insurance Agency was founded by Kenneth G. Wheeler in 1955. The agency was started in his home with his wife, Nora, as his secretary. 40 years later, their son, Kevin, purchased the agency in 1995 to continue the family business. In 2018, Cardinal joined forces with WalkerHughes Insurance.

The Ezell Group, owned by Randy and Jean Ezell since 2005, joined Walker & Associates in November of 2017 just months before the WalkerHughes merger. Following the acquisition of Cardinal Insurance, the two Greenwood agencies moved in together to one office location.

Our team in Greenwood saw more expansion in October of 2023 when Yeager Insurance Agency, Inc. joined the WalkerHughes team. Family owned and operated, Yeager Insurance has been providing exceptional service to their clients since 1958, which is a legacy we are excited to carry on.
